# Why is my server locked?

Due to capacity limitations, we can no longer offer unlimited free server usage. Free servers that are inactive for 3 days will be locked (but don’t worry—they’re still safely stored in our cloud).

To avoid your server being locked, you have two options:

* Stay active – Use your server at least once every 3 days.
* Upgrade to a paid plan – Paid servers are never locked and offer uninterrupted access.

If your server does get locked, we do not currently offer automatic unlocking. However, you’re welcome to **join our Discord** and ask the staff about your situation. Link: https://discord.gg/dv47YR5qG2
